Living Room Yoga
Living Room Yoga is the full experience—a 60-minute blend of yoga, Pilates, strength, and sometimes a little dance. This class ties it all together, offering creative movement sequences that are challenging, joyful, and deeply grounding. It’s your weekly opportunity to move, connect, and leave feeling stronger in both body and mind.
Just the Flow Stuff
Just the Flow Stuff focuses on the yoga side of the practice, with flowing sequences that promote flexibility, balance, and mindfulness. It’s perfect for when you need to slow down, breathe, and reconnect with yourself. Expect a calming yet energizing class that leaves you feeling refreshed and aligned.
Just the Hard Stuff
Just the Hard Stuff is where Pilates, weights, and strength training take center stage. This class is designed to build resilience and get your heart pumping with focused, powerful movements. It’s a fun and empowering challenge for when you want to feel strong and unstoppable.
JTFS 83 - Making Life Harder
SO sorry anyone is still joining from this end. Uscreen has been ignoring my emails about final migration help, so I’m going to have to go extra hard in the paint tomorrow. Please join the zoom with our usual link above!
LRY 228 - She Doesn't Even Go Here!
This class is about belonging and kinship. It’s about catching yourself when you start to create a story that excludes you from feeling loved.
OUR NEW SITE IS LIVE! BUT JOIN OUR REGULAR ZOOM! Need to figure out there Livestream with music.
For movement, the glutes are going to feel special, as are your shoulders.
JTHS 93 - GIMMIE
I am pulling some songs from the wedding dance and bringing that kind of ecstatic energy. If you’re looking for a pick me up, this is it!
JTFS 82 - TBD
I’ll be flying back from Mexico late Monday night, so I’m giving myself the space to sleep in a little and try out a new time slot with you!
LRY 227 - Even When It Hurts
I’m headed to Mexico for my first girls trip ever on Friday, so this week’s LRY is Thursday. My heart is already hurting thinking of leaving my family for the weekend, but I still need to live! How is your relationship with putting your needs first? Let’s explore that and move through it together.
JTHS 92 - Power On
Turning the power on slowly — at first — then a steady build into full throttle. It will be more of a flow, no weights required!
JTFS 81 - Lavender Haze
This class is standing in a field of lavender flowers and taking a deep breath. It’s starting the week with joy and ease! There won’t be any fancy footwork or overly complicated moves, and instead will be an ode to flowing through more familiar yoga moves that let us breathe easy.
JTHS 91 - Kick + Curtsy
We will be kicking and curtsying our way through this one. It will have a brief pilates moment, an upbeat song with optional jumping, and then a swift flow that weaves yoga, fancy(ish) footwork, and balance. Expect your legs to be worked, so add ankle weights only if you’re feeling extra energized and always feel free to ditch them! I will be wearing wrist weights, but not adding any other weights to the mix.
LRY 225 - PLAN
You know how they say, “Life is what happens to you when you’re busy making other plans,” well, unfortunately, they’re right. This class is based on a podcast I listened to called Kelly Corrigan Wonders. Her guest was Kendra Adachi and they talked about her method called, PLAN. They also turned what we’ve been taught about time management on it’s head and I found that extremely useful. The flow is more yoga than we’ve been doing lately, but still dynamic and interesting. Expect to start slow, pilates for 4 songs, then get into a flow that builds from down dog and the top of the mat. It’s got lots of side bending, hip flexor strength, twisting, and power. I didn’t build any breaks in, but that’s what you’re going to do whenever you want or need them! Playlist: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/7IfJ21aszybL7JKTJlzJAJ?si=32798d6ad5434634
Practice with Me!
I’m inviting you to do my Thursday morning full practice with me. This will mean a lot less guidance and mostly just cueing the movement and the reps or amount of breaths to expect.
JTHS 90 - Yoga Sculpt
We do a lot to strengthen your hip flexors and core. Start out seated for pilates-esque movement in the first 3 songs, then move to table top for one more. We will move into the standing section which brings a lot more yoga than usual, but with our usual LRY twist. And twists will be the main theme for our movement, along with level changes and two different hand grips. You can add hand weights, wrist, and ankle weights if you’d like to amp up the challenge.
JTFS 79 - Let's Do Yoga
After the last few weeks of complicated sequences, I thought to myself, “Let’s do yoga.” And that’s what we’ll do, but in our usual LRY way. Expect dynamic yoga movement that creates a full-body flow, with an emphasis on spinal undulation.
LRY Express - Wicked Happy
Let’s fuse the two classes from this week into one slightly longer flow that makes me wicked happy, and hopefully you, too!
JTHS 89 - Menace
I am taking all of Kendrick’s diabolical, jovial, layered genius into my heart and I am inspired! I am going to be a menace to society with my own gifts! I am ready to speak highly of myself, own my power, and stop the self-critical nonsense forevermore! Join me. It should be easy enough, right? The first 4 songs are, of course, Kendrick Lamar. Then we get into the vibey music to build a pattern that I have refined and nailed down since Monday’s attempt. I’ll be wearing ankle weights and using light hand weights. Expect hip opening, and changing choreography.
JTFS 78 - Anchor
We will find closed chain anchors and progressively move the sequence along from those points of contact. One sequence starts in down dog with strengthening in hovering table top, plank, and bent knee down dog. The second sequence begins in chair at the top of the mat. We’ll add in balance and turn up the pace with each repetition. I got lost in it yesterday while making it up, but in a needed and freeing kind of way. Our first two songs will be close to the ground, with about 22 minutes building up the intensity and then a slow 5 minute Fred Again song to bring us back down to earth.
LRY 224 - Light, dark, light again
I love this sequence too much to trim any of it, so I’m offering us a full hour practice with a solid cool down. We will move slowly for the first two songs, then pick it up for a pump up song standing, with a preview of the lunge choreography. Come down to kneeling and learn another part of the repetition, then get onto your back for one glute bridge song. We’ll head to down dog where the next two songs are the foundation of our flow. I’ll teach it once slow, then encourage you to move at your own pace through it over and over again. The third and fourth songs offer another layer that starts at the top of the mat, before we merge the sequences together and repeat them three times each. The final song is the finishing layer of standing and allows us to land in some yoga poses and hold throughout the sequence. Lykke Li will sing to us as we lay on your front for back strengthening and shoulder stretches. Fred Again will sooth you as you do more spinal movement and seated stretches. Find yourself in stillness for a few minutes, then head out for whatever awaits you.
JTHS 88 - Pick-Me-Up
I’m feeling easily scattered and for some reason, an impending sense of doom in the air, anyone else? This class is here to be your mid-week pick-me-up and a pause on the mental theatrics. It’s a playful mix of modalities, per usual. There will be a good amount of shoulder strengthening, level changes, and pace changes.
JTFS 77 - Stand For Something
Expect lots of level changes! You might want a blanket or some type of padding for your knees. We will do a lot with pattern building that will move swiftly and for me, built up a sweat.
LRY Express - Reclaim Your Imagination
Inspired by a podcast I listened to with Chani Nicholas where she instructed us to be doing just that. The movement will keep you on your toes, literally and figuratively. Expect nothing and be open to everything. It will flow together like a yoga class, but I hesitate to even use that word because I want us all to feel free of labels and expectations. The things you can always count on will be there: freedom to take care of yourself how you see fit, movement and music merging as one, and fun.
JTHS 87 - Wings to Fly
We’re focusing on the movement of your scapula, back muscles, and balance in this one. I used 2 and 5 lb hand weights and a 10 lb kettlebell. Much like our flow stuff this week, this is far from a yoga class. The songs stand on their own with their own movement story. Expect moments of jumping, flying stars, and lots of repetition in each song. Try moves like the lawn mower, robbery, and prone T.
Just the Flow 76 - Foundation of Flowers
This class was inspired by watching a sunflower grow in a time lapse, and a desire to relieve an irritation in my upper spine and shoulder blades. It was also thinking about the foundation we choose to grow from. Rather than a hard cement foundation, why not a bed of flowers? Soft, curious, and determined to break free from the dirt and stretch toward the sun. This is much less yoga flow, and more each song standing on their own as little vignettes. Bring an open mind, any props of support or challenge that you’d like
LRY Express - Untangled
I have got some knots in my system and I’m using this practice to untangle them and feel a little more free from the bull shit. We will practice not taking the bait from our inner critic—which is going to prove to be a necessary and frequent practice in our lives— and ponder a question I learned from Otis’s preschool. We start kneeling and bring in your upper back with eagle arms and spinal undulation, then change levels and take that into standing exploration. There are 4 pilates songs that heat you up, bring strength to your center, and awareness of how your spine wants to move. We have a building pattern for our yoga portion that will tangle and untangle you over and over again. I got a lot of love for this class teaching it in person this week and did it almost daily myself. I’ll be using ankle and wrist weights, and a kettlebell for squats if my back says yes to that. As always, you don’t need to add anything unless you want to!
JTHS 86 - Strong Backbone
The playlist is 32 minutes long and it’s moody, dance beats. They’ll invite you right into abdominal drawing in maneuver (ADIM) for the first two minutes. Once we’re more aware of the abdominal wall, we’ll start to undulate the spine. Glute bridge variations take center stage for the next two songs, before we roll on to side bridges. Crossed ankles will be a reoccurring theme and tune you into more inner thighs, pelvic floor, and low belly. We’ll use self-assists to feel more spinal rotation. My body feels strong and energized after doing variations of this sequence for the last 3 days.
LRY Express - This Is Not Normal
If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed by it all, it’s not just you. The weight of the world, on top of everything that you’re already managing does a number on your system. Join me in this lighthearted flow meant to do just that, lighten the load. We’ll start moving slow to get you into your breath and body and then connect to your core strength in pilates for the next chapter. Dynamic vinyasa takes center stage for the rest and we’ll end with two songs to slow you down and send you on your way.
LRY Express - Freedom and Form
Let’s pair free flowing movement with structured strength training moves!
JTHS 84 - Hard Reset
Greg and I keep talking about the Hard Reset that we need to start this year off with. We kind of burned it down in December, and would you believe, that doesn’t feel good! So, we’re getting back to basics, drink water, eat things that fuel you, and move in a way that supports longevity and energy. We’re gonna do movements that help you feel strong, stable, and centered. You don’t need anything but I will be using 10lb kettlebell and ankle weights for fun.
JTFS 73 - I'm Free
30-minute practice to inspire your week. You are free to create and recreate yourself every day upon waking. Let’s flow together and reimagine what’s possible.
