Move your body with me.

My class is yoga, but it’s also way more.

Hey, I’m glad you’re here.

I'm Erin Gilmore. I’m a San Francisco-based teacher with a unique modern style, a love for nonviolent communication, and a specialty in trauma-informed yoga. My teaching vibe is mixed modality. I take a little from Pilates, dance, barre, and strength-training. And my hope is that we all have some fun while moving together.

YOGA TEACHER MENTORSHIP

YOGA TEACHER MENTORSHIP

This is an 8-week virtual training for anyone who has their 200hr. All levels of experience are welcome! Space is limited.

Sundays April 7-May 19 2024

Each week, we will have a 2-hour group workshop on Zoom. Each workshop will include a lecture and a practice where we incorporate what we’re learning about.

  • You choose whether we meet weekly for a 30-minute one-on-one or biweekly for an hour. We get together over Zoom to focus on things that you're specifically working on.

  • We will work together to build a template for your sequencing

  • We will work on making your class creation process more streamlined and efficient.

  • There will be other *optional* weekly homework related to the theme.

  • To make the group feel more like a community, we’ll have a weekly prompt where you'll be paired up for 20-minute calls to discuss. You’ll get to know each other better and draw on each other’s strengths.

Week 1: My Method of Class Creation

Week 2: Using Non-Violent Communication in Our Teaching

Week 3: Cueing, Tone, And Staying Creative

Week 4: Crafting Your Sequence and the Experience of Your Class

Week 5: Trauma-Informed Teaching

Week 6: Themes and Story-telling

Week 7: Breathwork and Meditation

Week 8: Marketing and Making Money

Time commitment:

20 Hours live on zoom (between our calls and workshops), plus however much you want to/can put into homework time, but as with everything, you’ll put in as much as you're able and that's okay! No pressure.

The goal of the program is to give you more skills to refine your teaching and move forward in your career with more confidence and options. The main ethos of the program is: WHY? Together we will examine every aspect of your teaching and marketing strategy. When we’re done, my hope is that it leaves you feeling clear and intentional.

I will share many of the mistakes I have made over the last 13 years in the hopes that you won't have to make them, too!

Investment:

The cost is $200/week for 8 weeks.

It can be paid weekly or all at once.

There is a non-refundable deposit of one week to secure your spot.

My Practice.

Stimulating-both physically and mentally, my class will challenge you to not only move in different ways but, to also think differently about how you move and what that means in your own body. The movement is music-driven and flows to both the beat and your breath. This is to remind you of the symbiosis between your body and mind by letting your body lead the way. It's a blend of shake-your-booty music and calming, steady, strong beats to set you up for your day, your week, and your life.

You'll hear a few quotes that are earnest and meaningful (often leaning toward modern-day sages). There's a big focus on body acceptance, moving away from your performing or doing any of this to look a certain way, and connecting to the power of “NO!” You’re in charge at all times. What you say goes. Mostly, this is a space to practice feeling what you're really feeling in the midst of a challenging flow, surrounded by a loving community.

.

Erin is like no other teacher. Everything about her approach is fresh and surprising, both physically and emotionally. Just awesome.

Church, this class is a sweaty, beautiful, church.

Erin has changed my life and this morning was just what my mind body soul needed - no surprise there!

HOW I GOT HERE…MORE OR LESS.

I grew up on Cape Cod and stumbled into San Francisco back in 2009, after dropping out of The Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC. At the time, it seemed a little worrisome but ended up being the exact right chain of events that lead me to my first teacher training in 2011. I have been teaching public and corporate classes full-time ever since.

What you can expect from me…

I will always encourage you to remember that you’re in charge. Your time is your greatest luxury item, and you get to spend it how you’d like. Plus, you know how to take care of yourself best and you can trust your own guidance first. I always offer a swift-paced, deeply-rhythmic flow combined with strength-based training. My hope is that you leave feeling more connected with a sense of confidence and mostly, I hope you have fun. I am particularly passionate about serving and supporting individuals with eating disorders, body issues, and a history of sexual abuse. Yoga has been instrumental in helping me deal with those issues in my own life.
